Featuring XPEL and Mercedes-Benz Club of America

StarTech 2015 was in Cincinnati Ohio this year and it was a great event! We arrived Friday morning June 12th at the Cincinnati Airport and headed to the host hotel, The DoubleTree by Hilton. When we arrived there was a Show and Shine in progress in the parking lot, with all different years of Mercedes-Benz’s in attendance. After we set up our booth inside the event area, we were able to go outside and take a look at all of the beautiful Mercedes’ that were parked outside.

Mercedes Benz USA and The Cincinnati Reds partnered together to secure the Mercedes-Benz Diamond Club at the Cincinnati Reds Stadium for the official Welcome Party for StarTech 2015. Around 7pm that night we drove to a special entrance under the stadium at the Great American Ballpark, and entered the Mercedes-Benz Diamond club, red carpet style.

Before we started the social hour and dinner, the organizers gave us brief history lesson about the Mercedes-Benz and The Cincinnati Reds; we all know Mercedes-Benz produced one of the first cars, the Benz Patent Motorwagen in 1886, but did you know that The Cincinnati Reds became the 1st professional baseball team 25 years earlier than that in 1861?

After they started serving drinks and great tasting hors d’oeuvres they invited us out into the stadium at field level and we had a chance to relax in the Posh Diamond Club seats and take a stroll into the dugout for pictures. It was a truly awesome experience, we got to walk on the same field Ken Griffey Jr played on while he was with the Cincinnati Reds!

Demonstration of our XPEL ULTIMATE self-healing properties

Our XPEL ULTIMATE film self-heals from light scratches, swirl marks and rock chips while driving or maintaining your vehicle. During the show we use a Brass wire brush to simulate the every day occurrences that can affect the film. With the sun on the display the scratches from the brush instantly disappear. When the sun is not available, you can accelerate the healing process with a cup of warm water or a heat source.

Not all Patterns are created equal

At XPEL we pride ourselves on our pre-cut pattern software. By using a pre-cut pattern you’ll have less to worry about, since the installer will not be trimming the film on your vehicle. Using a pre-cut pattern the film will naturally fit without excessive stretching or contortion, which means the finished product not only lines up perfectly but is free of defects which could be visible once the install is finished.

Contrary to what some may believe it’s possible to wrap edges using a computer cut pattern which gives you a much better protection and installation. With XPEL Technologies Corp., all patterns are available with precision cut wrapped edges where possible. Where a wrapped edge is not possible, for example around the parking sensors on a bumper, reverse cameras and more, the film is always machine cut with precision.
