Last month, Mohegan Sun kicked off hosting Barrett-Jackson Northeast. This year marked our third appearance with CT’s very own Automobilia Auto Salon. Rest assured, we made our presence known in the new pavilion with none other than a Porsche 911 GT3.
Porsche 911 GT3 with ULTIMATE PLUS Paint Protection & PRIME XR PLUS Window Tint
Tucked in along the wall leading up to the Ford exhibition area sat a bright red beacon of German performance. The Porsche 911 GT3 on display was a true driver’s dream. On loan from a private owner’s collection, the GT3 had seen its fare share of road time. Sporting ULTIMATE PLUS paint protection film & our top-tier PRIME XR PLUS window tint, the Porsche 911 GT3 was fully equipped to take on the elements with the best XPEL has to offer.
Over the course of the auction, the GT3 drew quite a crowd. With such a high performance vehicle on display, having proper protection is essential. Demonstrating the self-healing power of ULTIMATE PLUS along with the heat rejecting properties of PRIME XR PLUS proved the value & benefits of both products for many Barrett-Jackson attendees.
A Few Favorites from Barrett-Jackson Northeast
As with most every Barrett-Jackson, there are always a few gems amongst the wide variety of vehicles that cross the auction blocks. There were deals to be had along with some incredible charity opportunities this year. As many saw on TV coverage, the final production Dodge Viper & Demon hammered down for a cool $1 million.
We also watched in great surprise as an all original single owner E30 M3 fetched a reasonable $35k. Given the values on these cars and Hagerty estimating prices mid-$60k, coming in under forty thousand seemed like a bargain for the ’80s icon.
A few odds & ends also found their way to Barrett-Jackson Northeast. In particular, a funky Scat Rebel Hovercraft from the Ashton Collection sold just shy of $10k. The perfect weekend water toy for an adventurous buyer.
Near the front of the main pavilion there was a show stopper on display in the ACI Dynamix booth. The #Lamborion” – a Lamborghini Performante with a printed chrome wrap featuring an artful take on the Orion Nebula. On top of that, the vinyl is completely protected with XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, so it can look out of this world for years to come.
Getting a Glimpse of goldRush Rally X
One highlight of Barrett-Jackson Northeast was a quick visit from the goldRush Rally gang as they made there way on gRX. While the rallyers got to enjoy the sights & sounds of the auction, attendees were able to get a better look at the star cars of goldRush. We caught the STEALTH Gulf Guther Werks 400R rolling out when the rain let up.
As always, Barrett-Jackson was a good time for all. The new pavilion facility outside the Mohegan Sun were a major improvement over previous years. We’re looking forward to see what they do with the new space as Barrett-Jackson Northeast continues to grow.
