Fredericksburg Porsche Meet Up

When you’re walking down the streets in downtown Fredericksburg, you don’t see brand-name stores. It almost feels as if you had walked back in time and there is a sense of a laid-back atmosphere you instantly fall in love with. It’s all about uniqueness. We were lucky enough to stay at the host hotel, which is conveniently located at the Gillespie County Airport. When you weren’t socializing with the other Porsche Owners, we and the other attendees were tearing it up on the fun and winding roads that the Texas Hill Country offers. One of the highlights of the show, besides meeting our friends and fellow enthusiasts, is the drive on The Three Sisters (AKA The Twisted Sisters) that is held on Saturday morning. “This 100-mile loop is, without a doubt, among the best, most challenging motorcycle roads in the state. The route follows canyons and climbs jagged, steep hills; the roads offer many tight, twisty curves with sheer drop offs alongside and not much in the way of guardrails. In one 15-mile section, there are approximately 65 curves! Experienced riders bliss out on this ride. Beginners are cautioned to focus on the road—even when a panoramic vista pops up along the way. Don’t forget to top off the gas tank before heading out.”

Every year we look forward to meeting with the Porsche Club in Fredericksburg, Texas, and it seems like every year the attendance grows and there are more XPEL wrapped Porsche’s that attend. What is Boxstoberfest? The people that best describe it are the organizers of the event:

While geared towards the Boxster, Boxstoberfest welcomes Cayman owners and owners of other Porsche models. As in past gatherings, Fredericksburg, Texas – about 1 hour north of San Antonio – will host Boxstoberfest 2016.
